Register Your Girl

Girls on the Run sessions are held over a 10 week period in the Fall and Spring. The program meets two days a week for one hour and 30 minutes after school. All girls in 3rd - 8th grades are encouraged to join the program regardless of previous running experience and level of physical fitness.

Lottery Registration System

To eliminate the stress of having to “race” to a computer as soon as registration officially opens to secure a spot on a team, all sites will be using the lottery system.  The lottery system will help to ensure a fair opportunity to participate in the program for all interested girls by giving a one-week time frame to complete the registration process. What this means is that as many people who want to register for the team can during this one-week period (as long as the participant attends the host school).  Registration will close at midnight, at which time our system will randomly choose participants to fill the available spots for that team.  Once the team participants are selected, those participants will get an email stating they are on the team. Girls who are not placed on the team will be placed on the waiting list and receive an email from GOTR letting you know your status.

When you register your daughter, you WILL be asked to submit a form of payment.  You will only be charged for the registration if and when your daughter is placed on a team. If you are paying with cash or check, you are not required to send payment until the lottery closes and you receive confirmation your daughter is on the team.

If there are more spaces available on the team than girls registered, everyone will be placed on the team and the remaining spaces will be open for first come, first served registration.
